Hero Day is an up and coming non-profit serving the families of US military killed or missing in action. Similar to, but not affiliated with the Make-a-Wish Foundation®, Hero Day answers the dreams of children under 18 in remembrance of their lost parent.
MacAidan's father Justin Gallegos, awarded a Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts, was one of eight soldiers killed in Afghanistan when enemy forces attacked their outpost on 10/3/09. He was 27. (Read more...)
To honor MacAidan's Hero, we are granting his wish for a trip to Disney World with his mother Amanda and Grandmother Diana this Christmas. He would also like to meet the President - a wish we're working on as well!
The estimated cost for a family of 3 to make the trip from Alaska to Disney is just under $5,000. Please donate now to help us reach this goal. If we're successful in getting Disney and airlines to donate travel accommodations, excess funds will be applied to future Hero Day wishes.
